SoftPlotter®, Boeing’s digital photogrammetric workstation, provides an advanced, complete toolset for performing model setup and triangulation, stereo model creation, DTM generation, orthophoto generation and mosaicking, and vector mapping/data collection from a wide range of government and commercial imagery sources.

Model Setup and Triangulation

  • Import of imagery in a number of formats
  • Automatic interior orientation for most common standard frame cameras

  • Pliable Display Technology from IDELIX® removes the need for zooming in and out - the portion of the imagery under the lens provides a close-up view while maintaining an overview of imagery surrounding the lens

Digital Terrain Model (DTM) Generation

  • Supports DEM and TIN elevation data
  • Automatic collection of DTM data from overlapping images
  • Adjustable parameter settings for controlling the autocorrelation process
  • Intuitive tool set for manual collection and editing of DEM posts and TIN points in stereo

Digital Orthophoto Generation and Mosaicking

  • Orthorectification of images using SoffPlotter’s triangulation results and DEM, TIN, or planar elevation models
  • Resampling algorithm options include cubic convolution, bilinear interpolation, and nearest neighbor
  • Ortho imagery can be mosaicked using interactive cut lines and feathering to generate a seamless image file

Vector Mapping/Data Collection

  • Collects 3D photogrammetric data with KDMS™ or MicroStation vectors superimposed over stereo or monoscopic imagery
